HAND-SCREENPRINTED YARDAGE
The first piece of this print was a 7-color repeat pattern drawn by hand based on gestural sketches of flowers. The print was then translated to a 2-color screenprint (with third color overprint). Color separations were inked by hand, and 3 yards were hand-printed in two color ways. The purple and green with blue overprint is printed on white cotton broadcloth, and the other is printed with transparent gray and opaque blue on a sheer gauze.
